This is a friendly reminder about our school’s opening times to ensure a smooth start to each day: Regular Schedule Days: Doors open at 7:20 AM. 2-Hour Delay Days: Doors open at 9:20 AM. 3-Hour Delay Days: Doors open at 10:20 AM. Please note that staff are not available to welcome students until these times. We kindly ask that you plan accordingly, as we are unable to accommodate students before the doors open. As we prepare for the week before heading home for winter break, we’ve got lots of exciting activities planned at school! Let’s add to the fun with our festive Holiday Spirit Week! Monday – “Hats Off to Christmas” Wear your favorite holiday or non-holiday headgear! Tuesday – Tacky Tuesday Break out your ugly Christmas sweater or wear something wonderfully wacky and tacky! Wednesday – Pajama Day Stay cozy and relaxed in your favorite pajamas. Thursday – Holiday Season Day Spread holiday cheer by wearing red, green, and/or white! Friday – No School for Students Enjoy the start of your winter break! We’re looking forward to a week full of holiday fun!

Christmas Backpack Giveaway Drive through backpack Christmas giveaway the First Southern Baptist Church of Sutton will be having a free drive through Christmas backpack giveaway on Saturday, December 14th. The giveaway will be at Robinson's Sales & Service located at 732 Airport Road (7/10 of a mile from Laurel Court Go-Mart, big green building on the right). The giveaway will be from 9:00 am - until they are out of supplies. There are no income guidelines.

Dear Davis Elementary Families, We are excited to invite you to our Family Engagement Meeting happening tomorrow, Tuesday, December 3rd, at 1:00 p.m. at Davis Elementary School. This meeting is designed for parents and guardians of preschool through fifth grade students and will feature: • Engaging ELA activities • Take-home resources for your family • Important tenants information • A guest speaker, prize drawing, and light refreshments Please Note: • Enter through the old entrance doors next to the gymnasium on the third floor. There will be a sign-in sheet upon arrival. We hope to see you there as we work together to support our students’ success!

Dear Davis Elementary Families, With winter weather here, please ensure your child dresses appropriately with warm coats, hats, and gloves. Students go outside for recess when the temperature is 40°F or above, so dressing in layers is recommended. Also, a reminder that school doors open at 7:20 AM. For safety, please do not drop students off before this time, as staff is unavailable to supervise. Thank you for helping us keep students safe and comfortable this winter!

Davis Elementary PTO is currently selling 12 Days of Christmas Raffle. There are many great prizes to be won. You can purchase your ticket by stopping by the school, contacting a PTO member, or you can purchase online. Raffle will begin on December 4th. Be sure to join us for this engaging opportunity. We will be meeting in room 301, please enter through the 3rd floor entrance near the gymnasium.

Just a friendly reminder that Davis Elementary will be hosting a fall dance this evening. It will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The cost of admission is $5.00 and there will be concessions available as well. We hope you bring your Davis Dragon this evening to dance the evening away.

This is just a friendly reminder that there will be no schools in Braxton County on Monday, November 11th in observation of Veterans Day. We will resume our regular academic schedule on Tuesday, November 12th.

Davis Elementary will have makeup picture day tomorrow, Wednesday, November 6th. Please call if you need your student to makeup their school photo. If your student has already had their photo taken for the year. You do not have to participate in makeups.
