We will be having our end of year awards ceremonies on Monday, May 22nd.
K-2 awards will be at 9:00 and 3rd-5th awards will be at 10:30 in the gym. Parents can enter through the 3rd floor door by our gym on this day for awards and are also invited to attend our Title I meeting at 8:45 before the first awards begin. We hope to see you there. :)
Dragon day is tomorrow (Monday, May 1st) at Davis Elementary for students and staff! Don't forget to wear your DAVIS gear and/or school colors (blue and gold) to show school spirit. We are so proud of our Dragons for their hard work and efforts this year! Our WVGSA tests are this week for grades Third through Fifth. Just a reminder that today, Friday, April 28 is a 2 hour Early Out for students, and our school will be dismissed 2 hours earlier than on a normal day, so we will begin dismissing at 1:20 today instead of 3:20. Have a good afternoon Davis Dragons!

Our Parent Teacher Conferences at Davis Elementary will be on Tuesday, March 21 from 3:30-5:30pm. Please call the school to schedule a time if you have not already done so. Also, our new Dragon's Lair is complete and ready to visit thanks to our Partners in Education, PTO, and volunteer efforts! We hope to see you tomorrow night Dragons!
Just a reminder that tomorrow, March 16th, is the Shamrockin' Dance. All Davis Elementary students, Pre-K through 5th, are welcome to attend. Please note that all students must have an adult stay with them throughout the entire dance. The cost of admission is $3.00 per person. Concessions will also be available at additional cost. This is a reminder that there will be NO school for Braxton County students on Monday, March 13th due to our school calendar’s scheduled staff training day. We look forward to seeing our students back at school on Tuesday, March 14th this week. Those in attendance will receive a dry erase board, marker, eraser, and a light snack. We hope to see you there! **UPDATE: IT’S OK FOR STUDENTS TO ATTEND EVEN IF THEY HAVEN’T RSVP’ed** Also, we will have our monthly PTO meeting prior to Family Math Night at 4:00pm. If you have not signed your child up already for the Summer Learning Experience, another form is being sent home today for students in grades K-5. Braxton County Schools plan to offer students in grades K-12 (2022-2023) a Summer Learning Experience. The Summer Learning Experience will consist of fun and challenging activities in the areas of reading, math, health and wellness, STEAM, and art.
